Paul Timm, PSP (President of RETA Security) is a board-certified Physical Security Professional through ASIS International - he was in the first group ever to test for and obtain this credential.  Paul is a trained and experienced School Crisis Assistance Team (SCAT) member employing the methodology of the National Organization for Victims Assistance (NOVA).  He currently serves on the Illinois Terrorism Task Force (ITTF) and was an ASIS International Regional Certification Award winner in '04 & '05.  Paul is certified in Vulnerability Assessment Methodology (VAM-CF) through Sandia National Laboratories and is currently a member of the C12 Group.

Randy Braverman (Senior Consultant) is a member of the Illinois Terrorism Task Force and teaches a class on Multi-Hazard Emergency Planning for Illinois Schools.  Before joining RETA Security, he was the Director of Security for the fifth largest school district in Illinois for four years and the head of security for a high school district in a northwest suburb of Chicago for 17 years.  Prior to that, Randy served as a police officer in a northwest suburb of Chicago and at a Chicagoland community college. Randy has 25 years of school security experience and is a certified instructor of the Campus & Teen CERT Program, and also the Incident Management System.

Ron Timm, CPP (1937 - 2007) founded RETA Security in 1984 after a 15 year career at Argonne National Laboratory (a U.S. Department of Energy research center).  He was board-certified in Security Management through ASIS International.  The inventor of four US security patents, Ron was recognized as one of the top security consultants in the nation.  He was involved in such high level projects as protecting Mount Rushmore and the Panama Canal.  Ron testified before the United States Congress and appeared on a number of television programs (i.e. ABC's PrimeTime, NBC's Dateline) regarding security issues of societal importance.
